What You’ll Need

The Autonoma IAC simulator mimics the functionality of an Indy-style racecar, including the “paddle” shifting mechanisms. The shifting behavior is similar to consumer-style cars which also include a version of this “man-u-matic” shifting.

In order to move the transmission to a higher gear, gently pull the paddle on the right side of the wheel gently towards you.

Shift Up

Shift Down

Because of the “man-u-matic” shifting functionality, while the simulator has a three-pedal interface, only the right-most two will be used (I know, I’m sure everyone was wishing to use the clutch or try and powershift an Indy car).

The throttle pedal is the right-most pedal of the three. To increase the throttle, depress this pedal with your foot.

The brake pedal is the middle pedal of the three. To brake, depress this pedal with your foot.

In the event that the simulator car needs to be reset back onto the track, please press the “X” button on the steering wheel.

You’re now acquainted with the simulator and are ready to enter your information into the leaderboard and wait in queue. Please don’t enter your name into this form unless you are the next person to enter the simulator to ensure a properly flow of people into the simulator.
